Mental Health Counselor Office
Contact the Mental Health Counselor Office for information on 14-day certifications, additional 14-day certifications, 30-day certifications, probable cause hearings, writs of habeas corpus, Riese petitions/hearings, Riese appeals and general court operation questions.

District Attorney
The District Attorney represents the People of the State of California on Writ of Habeas Corpus Hearings. Contact the D.A.'s office to file petitions for 180 day post-certification on danger to others.

County Counsel
County Counsel is the attorney for the Public Guardian on conservatorship cases and attorney for County Hospital and contract facilities on Riese appeals.

Public Guardian
The Public Guardian provides limited transportation to court hearings on initial appointments and reappointments.

Public Defender
The Public Defender is attorney for patients in all types of hearings. Contact the P.D.'s Office to withdraw writ of habeas corpus, notify that patient has signed voluntary (Patient must talk to Deputy Public Defender) or patient has been discharged.

Mental Health Court Program
In conjunction with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, the Mental Health Court Program assists mentally ill defendants by providing mental health consulation services and a Community Reintegration Program.

Writs of Habeas Corpus
Notify if patient signs voluntary or is discharge.

Writs of Habeas Corpus Hearings & Medication Appeals
Notify if patient signs voluntary or is discharded, all cases involving minors.
