Interns assist domestic violence victims with preparation of legal documents and other Court forms to ensure timely Court protection as well as provide them with related information and referral services. Interns interested in sociology, criminology and paralegal fields, work alongside attorneys assisting ex-parte victims. Statistics indicate that when the cycle of domestic violence is broken it is less likely to reoccur so that the number of repeat victims requiring Court service is greatly decreased.
PREREQUISITE
Interns must be computer literate and have experience interacting with the public involving sensitive and confidential issues.
