Personal Injury Attorneys Sought To Apply as Court Settlement
Officers
The Los Angles Superior Court (LASC) invites
attorneys with 10 or more years of experience in
the area of personal injury law litigation
who are members in good standing with the California State Bar to submit an
application to act as settlement officers.
Under a grant from Judicial Council’s Administrative Office of the
Courts (AOC), the LASC Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Department will
implement a Voluntary Settlement Conference (VSC) Program for personal injury
cases pending before the court.
The program will utilize a co-settlement officer model pairing plaintiff and defense
attorneys in order to most effectively seek resolution of the personal injury
cases pending assignment. Because the
program’s implementation will be available countywide, attorneys will be
provided an opportunity to serve at a convenient court location.
Attorneys will receive MCLE training at no cost for the program. To request an application, attorneys may call
