Malibu Courthouse’s Ltd. Civil, Unlawful Detainer and Small Claims Cases
To Be Filed in Santa Monica
Effective Monday, April 30, 2012, all new limited
civil, unlawful detainer and small claims cases within the jurisdiction of the Malibu
Courthouse shall be filed at the Santa Monica Courthouse, Room 116, located at
1725 Main St., Santa Monica CA 90401.
As of April 30, 2012, the Malibu Courthouse will no longer file new limited
civil, unlawful detainer or small claims filings.
The Malibu Courthouse,
located at 23525 Civic Center Way, Malibu
CA 90265, will continue to hear previously calendared limited civil, unlawful
detainer and small claims cases through June 15, 2012.
All limited civil, unlawful detainer and small claims
cases with a calendar date on or after June 18, 2012, scheduled at the Malibu Courthouse, will be recalendared for hearing at the
Santa Monica
Courthouse with notification to follow from the clerk.
All limited
civil, unlawful detainer and small claims cases pending in the Malibu
Courthouse will be transferred to the Santa
Monica Courthouse as of June 18, 2012
