Jurists, Litigators Lead Bar’s

Civil Court Seminar on March 16

Seasoned attorneys and jurists in Los Angeles County are headlining the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s day-long Civil Litigation Walk-Through Program on Saturday, March 16, 2013.

The comprehensive overview of civil processes will be at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse, 111 N. Hill St., Los Angeles 90012. Law and motion, discovery, pretrial and trial preparation will be demonstrated by master trial lawyers who will show participants how to win their cases.

Four Los Angeles Superior Court judges – Kenneth R. Freeman, Luis A. Lavin, Beverly Reid-O’Connell and Elizabeth A. White – will provide a judicial perspective on civil proceedings. Litigators include Thomas V. Girardi, Steven C. Glickman, Rolando Hidalgo, Daniel P. Leonard, Lisa L. Maki, Linda Star, Brian K. Stewart and Michael A. Zuk.

The six-hour presentation includes lunch, and participants earn six hours of CLE credit. Registration for LACBA members is $115 and CLE plus members pay $80. There are reduced rates for paralegals, law clerks, law students, and court staff. Other participants will be charged $150.
