The West Covina Courthouse is on the "One-Trial" jury service term. Under the One-Trial term of service, prospective jurors are placed on call for a period of five (5) days. The prospective juror is required to call in to receive instructions on whether he or she must report for service. Once instructed to report to court, and if selected to serve on a jury, the service obligation is fulfilled upon the conclusion of deliberation, whether or not a verdict is reached. The service obligation is also fulfilled if not in jury selection or selected on a jury at the end of the day when required to report. Please be prepared to accept a trial when you appear for service. The average trial is 5-7 days.

After 6:00 p.m. to receive instructions on whether you must report for service the following day.

• Call in for five days or until you have been asked to report. If you have not been asked to report after five days, you service is complete.
• Appear as instructed once your group number is selected.
• Only be paid for days you actually appear as instructed (after your first day of service)

To report an absence, please call the courtroom you have been assigned to directly. The courtroom telephone numbers are listed on the "Juror Orientation Information Sheet" that you were given on your first day.

Free juror parking is provided in the parking structure behind the courthouse on the 1st and 3rd levels. Entrance to the parking structure is on Sunset Avenue.

Security screening is enforced at all court locations. Please allow extra time to get through line.
