Probate Court is a Court of General Jurisdiction which includes, but is not
limited to the following proceedings; decedents' estates, trust proceedings,
guardianship proceedings, conservatorship proceedings and minor's compromises.

Fees must be posted in Room 426, 4th floor prior to 8:30 a.m.
There are no probate (clearing) attorney office hours. To clear Probate Notes,
filed documents must be submitted to Room 258 (faxed documents are not
accepted), within the time frames set forth in Rule 4.4(b) of LASC Local Rules.
You may contact the Probate Attorney whose e- Mail address appears at the end
of the Probate Notes, subject to compliance with all conditions governing the
use of Interactive E-Mail. E-mail Parameters for Probate Notes are available in
Room 258 and on this site.
Guardianship Pro Per Assistance Program
Room 230, 2nd Floor, Monday – Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30
p.m. – 3:30 p.m. NOTE: The clinic helps low-income individuals on a first-come
basis. Arrive by 9:00 a.m. The clinic does not have a phone number nor do they
make reservations. Individuals do not need a Guardianship packet from the forms
window if attending the clinic in the Central District. The clinic does not act
as your attorney and does will not represent you.
Conservatorship Pro Per Assistance Program
Room 426, 4th Floor, Resource Center, Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday from 9:00
a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This free clinic is open to the public who need assistance
in a conservatorship action or with alternatives to conservatorships and elder
abuse restraining orders. NOTE: The clinic helps low-income individuals on a
first-come basis. You should plan to arrive early. The clinic assists in
filling out forms and in giving information about the process of obtaining a
conservatorship or an elder abuse restraining order.

Monday, Tuesday & Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The clinics do not act as your attorney and will not represent you in court.

Advocates for Conserved Elders
The Advocates for Conserved Elders
(ACE) program was formed through a partnership between the Los Angeles Superior
Court Probate Department and
WISE & Healthy Aging to recruit volunteers to visit isolated elders.
