When a ticket is cleared, the Court notifies DMV within five days so the hold can be removed from your license. An abstract fee is charged by the Court if immediate notification to DMV is requested.

There are two ways to request an abstract:

• By mail with payment by check or money order:

  • Make the check or money order payable to the "LA Superior Court"
  • Write your citation number on the check or money order
  • Mail the payment to the address on the courtesy notice or citation

• In person at the Court location from which the hold was issued.
